About us
For almost 20 years HAHN KUNSTSTOFFE GMBH has been the place to go for the recycling of plastic packaging into new products and finished parts.
When the company was founded in 1993, this industrial sector was still in the first stages of its development. There was little in the way of sophisticated manufacturing know-how or marketable products. The development of market segments was also in its early stages.
HAHN KUNSTSTOFFE GMBH has made a significant contribution to the consumer acceptance, high profile, and success of products made from recycled post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste.
From a humble beginning, turning yogurt pots into park benches, the industry, led by HAHN KUNSTSTOFFE GMBH has moved on to a wide range of final applications.
On an area of about 75,000 m² and over 200 employees we manufacture and market over 1,000 products under the hanit® trademark.
Our range not only comprises items for garden and park design but also includes complex industrial products exclusively manufactured on customer specifications.
We have also set standards in the field technology. Several patent-protected preparation and manufacturing processes as well as products have been developed and are incorporated in to the manufacture of hanit® recycled plastic products. As a result, new applications have been opened up where the use of secondary plastics had been unimaginable for a long time. The properties of hanit® have already convinced many skeptics.
