Quality Management – an area of living company policy
We are convinced that Quality Management is a key factor for successful customer relationship management.
To meet the demands of our customers for high value products of consistent quality, our quality management reports directly to senior management. Clearly defined processes, responsibilities, and objectives plus a friction-free flow of documents and material are the foundation of our quality management. In the QM manual, all processes - from examination of the raw materials, via quality controls integrated into the production process, and on to final inspection of the produced profiles and precast elements - are described in cooperation with our employees.
Quality Management from A to Z
It begins with an examination of the raw materials and quality-orientated selection of our suppliers. Hahn Kunststoffe GmbH prepares plastics from the collections of the German Dual System and from selected industrial collections. The incoming goods inspection of plastic bales is carried out as per the specifications of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kreislaufwirtschaft und Rohstoffe (DKR; German Society for Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management and Raw Materials). If deviations from the present specifications are detected during visual inspection, the whole load is put on hold and inspected according to a given checklist. The established data are documented in protocols exactly like the processing of bales into pellets.
Regular weighing of our products in the context of input and output control as well as the monitoring of compliance with recorded storage and packing instructions complement our internal quality controls. The results of these inspections and controls form the basis for the advancement of our manufacturing know-how and the constant improvement of product quality. Furthermore, they ensure product traceability.
The external quality control is handled by accredited testing institutes and publicly appointed technical expert. In the process, the quantity and extent of the external materials and product tests are successively expanded for the benefit or our product quality documentation.
