Amendments to this Privacy Statement
We reserve the right to amend the Privacy Statement in order to adapt it to changes in the legal situation or in case of changes to services and to data processing. However, this applies only in relation to statements on data processing.
If consents of users are required or parts of the Privacy Statement contain agreements on the contractual relationship with users, amendments shall be made only with the consent of the users. Users are requested to keep themselves up-to-date on the content of the Privacy Statement.
Collection of access data and log files
Based on our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, we collect data each time the server is accessed on which this service is located (referred to as server log files). Access data include the name of the webpage accessed, the file, date and time of access, quantity of data transferred, report on successful access, browser type including the version, the operating system of the user, referrer URL (the page visited previously), IP address and the calling provider.
Log file information is stored for security reasons (e.g. to investigate abuse and fraud) for a maximum period of 7 days and deleted afterwards. Data which must continue to be stored for evidence purposes is barred from deletion until the respective incident is finally clarified.
Handling of personal data
Personal data is information with the aid of which a person can be identified, i.e. where particulars can be traced back to an individual. This includes not only the name, email address or telephone number. Also information on preferences, hobbies, memberships and which websites a person viewed are also considered to be personal data.
Personal data is collected, used and passed on by HAHN only if this is legally permitted or users have consented to data collection.
When contacting HAHN (for example using the contact form or by sending an email), the particulars of the user are stored for processing the inquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise.
Comments and contributions
The IP addresses of users who leave comments in the blog or other contributions are stored. This is carried out for the security of the provider if somebody writes illegal contents in comments and contributions (insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.). In this case, HAHN can be prosecuted for the comments or the contribution and is thus interested in knowing the identity of the writer.
Subscription to comments
Users can subscribe to subsequent comments. Users receive a confirmation email to check whether they actually own the email address that has been entered. Users can unsubscribe from current subscriptions to comments at any time. The confirmation email will contain information on this.
We provide information to you about us and our offerings through our newsletter.
If you wish to receive the newsletter, we require a valid email address from you and information that allows us to check that you own the email address provided and that the true owner of the email account agrees to the receipt of the newsletter. Further data is not collected or is collected on a voluntary basis only. This data is used only to send the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.
Through your subscription to the newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of your registration. Your consent to storing and using data and the email address to send the newsletter can be revoked at any time. Consent can be revoked via a link in the newsletters themselves or by sending a message to the contact options above.
Cookies & Web Beacons
To make our website as user-friendly as possible, we use what are known as cookies and web beacons.
Cookies are small text files that a webserver of the company Webgo (e.g. the webserver of https://www.webgo.de) sends to your browser when you visit a webpage. What are known as “session cookies” expire at the end of the browser session and can record your actions during this particular browser session. “Permanent cookies”, in contrast, also remain stored on your terminal device between various browser sessions and can record your settings or actions on several webpages.
In no instance do cookies pose any danger to your computer, as they are only text files and are not executable programs.
Besides what are referred to as “session cookies” that are deleted when you end your browser session, we place permanent cookies in your browser. These cookies remain stored until deleted by the user. The cookies we use do not store any personal information.
Depending on your browser settings, the cookie file is stored or rejected. If the file is stored, our webserver is able to recognise your terminal device. This will save you the effort of entering your password several times when you visit our website again later and switch between functions that require you to enter a password. This is how cookies facilitate the use of websites that require user entries. In addition, cookies can help us to offer you a surfing experience tailored to your requirements as far as possible.
If you explicitly do not wish this, you can deactivate cookies as described below:
You can either set your browser so that it can receive our cookies or it can use our website without cookie functions. However, in the latter case, your text entries cannot be stored in form fields for further inquiries, which means that when you visit our website next time, you will have to enter text again. Furthermore, we will not be able to present personally tailored contents to you in this case.
Functions serving the purpose of convenience, such as the shop and the watch list, would not work or be presented properly either.
Your browser is possibly also already set so that it displays a warning every time when it receives a cookie. This message can be very annoying considering that the identification cookie has to be sent when accessing each individual webpage of our website. We thus recommend that you set your browser so that cookies from www.hahnkunststoffe.de are always accepted. You can individually enter this setting for each webpage.
You can manage many online advert cookies of companies via the US website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.
Irrespective of the cookies stored, you must login again for security reasons each time you access areas subject to registration on our website.

Special services and third-party providers
Integration of services and contents of third parties
The contents of third parties might be integrated within this website, such as YouTube videos, Google Maps map materials, RSS feeds and graphics of other websites. This always requires that the provider of these contents (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) can identify the IP address of users because without the IP address they would not be able to send the contents to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is thus required in order to present these contents. We endeavour to use only contents whose respective providers use the IP address solely to provide the contents. However, we have no influence on whether the third-party provider stores the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. The user will be informed if we know that this happens.
Images of the stock image provider Getty Images may be integrated within this website. These images are indicated by a frame containing “Getty Images”. The display of these images requires that Getty Images identifies the IP address of users so that the images can be sent to the browser of the users. The IP address is thus required in order to present these contents. According to the current level of knowledge, the IP address is used for this purpose only. However, the provider has no influence on whether Getty Images stores the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. The user will be informed if the provider knows that this happens or the images will be removed.
Further information is provided in the privacy statement of Getty Images: http://www.gettyimages.de/Corporate/PrivacyPolicy.aspx
